Clay Ornaments! Free and Fun!

Yesterday I was making, yet again, clay ornaments with my kiddos!  I thought that I would post this fun, free and fast art project that always turns out to be Tons-Of-Fun!  I've used this recipe for almost every holiday in the last year or so.  I love making the ornaments and hanging them from my front doors, my Halloween tree or just giving my 3 year old something to paint!  I've also used these clay figures as tags for presents!

Here's what to do:

1 cup of salt
1/2 cup warm water
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
(Mix these ingredients together!)
Add 2 cups of flour to create a clay-like consistency.

Roll out with a rolling pin and use cookie cutters to create cut-outs!

Heat the oven to 250 degrees and let 'cook' for several hours until hard.

Get your paints and have some fun!!
