Cookie Glazed Icing Recipe:
1 lb powdered sugar (about 3 3/4 cups)
6 Tablespoons whole milk
6 Tablespoons light corn syrup
1 teaspoon almond extract
Mix together until it creates a smooth consistency.
You can thicken it up with more powdered sugar or thin it out with more milk.
* Helpful hint - use a baby spoon to spread icing to the edge of the cookie *
In order to create a piped look - separate the icing recipe and thicken a portion of it with more powdered sugar. I have found that if I separate the recipe in half I need about 3/4 of a cup more powdered sugar to get it to the right consistency not to run!
There you have it - no purchasing pricey cookies to display at your next party or give to family members! The perfect looking sugar cookies for all these fantastic holidays coming up! Happy Baking!
